  • How to Write Blogs

    1. Content:
Always use fresh, natural & fluent language. Compose articles that are relevant to your business. For example, if you are a roofing contractor, write an article regarding the 10 ways you know it's time to get a new roof! The idea here is to obtain leads and get them to your website.

    2. Length:
For your written posts, 400 to 500 words should be the minimum. That length gives search engines ample text to crawl and plenty of keywords and context clues to help them understand what the article is about. Cap your posts at 5000 words; anything longer should be an ebook.

    3. Keywords & Linking:
Always use relevant keywords on your articles, highlight them and put hyperlinks to pages throughout your website.

    4. Meta Tags & Titles:
Use Meta titles and descriptions, they are an opportunity for you to tell:

    • The search engines what a blog post is about
    • Your audience why they should click through and read it

Remember to use keywords (but don't stuff them in) and use natural, fluent language.

    5. Share it:
After posting a blog or article, share it on your company's social media pages (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, etc..) All blogs have plugins that allow you to automatically share new blogs on your social media pages.

    Creating Your Own Graphics

On many occasions we get asked what software we use to create certain graphics, logos, etc... We utilize an arsenal of graphic editing software and many of these programs are pricey.

One bit of software we always recommend, and it's FREE, is GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)

It's perfect for your average beginner & newbie all the way to novice and experienced individuals and is a great program for photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on just about every operating systems and is very similiar to Photoshop.

    Accessing Your Files Via FTP

If you have a Windows operating system, Microsoft has developed an easy way for you to connect and upload files to your website.

    FTP Account Login
First, you'll need the login information for your FTP account. If you do not have this, Contact us and we'll provide it to you. You'll need the following:

    • Server:           Your primary domain or the IP of your server.
(ftp://yourdoman.com or IP address such as 0.000.000.0)
    • Username:   Username or user@yourdomain.com
    • Password:    The password that was created for the user you are using.

    • 1. Now that you have the account information you need to pull up Windows Explorer. You can go to Start > Computer or use the shortcut Windows Key + E to start Windows Explorer.
    • 2.Type ftp://username@example.com into the top address bar. Replace username with your FTP username and example.com with your primary domain name. That should connect you and cause it to prompt you for a password.
    • 3. Input the full username and password for the account you wish to connect to and click Log On.
    • 4.You now have an open FTP connection. You can drag and drop files to and from this window and your computer to upload/download files.
